The casing that encases the sausage is not the sausage inside it and that is why I always remove the casing if it is there.
I like unenclosed sausage.

You're missing his point entirely. It's typically wrapped in pig stomach, like real sausage. So what we call "breakfast sausage" for instance that comes shaped like a sausage and is wrapped in a plastic wrapper is not actually sausage although we call it that. Yes, the slice some off type. Not the Bob Evan's breakfast sausages.

It sounds better. Pulp reminds me of used toilet paper sewage waste being pulped and bleached, shit and all.

I'm pretty sure that the loose 'sausage' you speak of is ground pork mixed with spices, it simply isn't put in a casing.

I NEVER thought I would see the day when a Brit would criticize ANYone on their cooking, seeing as how British cooking isn't even considered a cuisine at all it is universally horrible.

The USA has haute cuisine. It is called "Southern Cooking" which is why all the superheavyweight fatties in America are mulling around in the Southern states. If you visit the South of the USA you will be amazed at the delicious, fine cuisine, tasty, fattening and addictive. In that area, they make sausage from scratch, biscuits from scratch, ... so whereas many of us NOT from the South don't know our ass from a sausage casing, we don't care because we just take a trip to the South to eat authentic mouth watering cuisine.
