Pretty soon, there will be billions of humans standing around with nothing to do, because robots are doing everything they used to do. Solve that problem and you win the prize. |

Families growing their own gardens/orchards and sharing with each other. Building homes for and with their children. Homesteading basically, cities with people packed like rats need to go. Big government needs to go as the people become more self reliant. Useless jobs that produce no life giving sustenance are just ways to take from those who actually produce food(even though its mostly corporations who profiteer with their factory farms). |

Everybody had to chip in. Everybody had to pull their weight. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34269694 This is now forgotten. Societies have become playgrounds for extreme individualists who demand the safety and comforts of the collective while doing everything to avoid having to participate in the effort to build and maintain it. Public work is scorned and ridiculed while greedy individualism has been made into a virtue. This attitude needs to be corrected. I propose that in the future all capable young adults are required to take a public office, work in public services (e.g. low-level assistants in health, handicap or elderly care), serve in the military, or do manual labor like maintaining the interstate network for a couple of years, before becoming eligible for other jobs and a full set of civil rights (e.g. voting). This will give every citizen a better understanding of the real needs of the weakest members of the society (empathy), contributes to better availability of public services and helps to maintain the essential core functions of the society (transportation, health care, defense). There should not be an option for anyone to buy him/herself out of this duty. The job assignments will also be handed out in a blind fashion based on the raw abilities of the young adult. This way the parents who are rich or know powerful people won't be able to influence the decision. This will be true social justice and will really improve the morality, empathy and understanding in society. Another brick in the wall. How is it you cannot see that you advocate slave labor under the guise of social justice? How can such a thing improve morality except that the entire program is a religion in disguise teaching it's new morals? Here is a saying well worth believing - love does no harm to a neighbour, ie no murder, no adultery, no theft etc What a truly wonderful land that would be when man understands finally that he would not step into the light because his deeds were wicked and for fear they would be exposed. Until you believe that, your proposal is but more the works of men. |

As people like trump proclaim themselves to be our boss insisting we should be grateful to do it all with no pay. As he flies around the world on his private plane. |
