I come here and see that the math and science literacy in this country is appalling. Many people have no understanding of basic math and science concepts. So myths like chemtrails, the moon landing hoax, HAARP, bigfoot, astrology, and so many more continue. If you don't understand science and math you do not realize how ridiculous some of those statements are. And the logic used is even worse.

I am simply trying to point out the lies and the charlatans who spread these myths. I use this analogy. If you are an electrician or mechanic and some posts something really stupid, like a poster giving advice that it is okay to stand in water when working on live wires, would you say anything? What I see posted is equivalent to standing in wires when working on live wires. I have to point out that the "advice" given on this site is just so wrong, so ridiculous.

Problem, of course, is that people get emotionally entrenched in these myths and feel like they must "fight back" anyway they can. Which comes to childish name calling and more rumors and myths, like "only paid shills would come here to try and debunk these thing". Which is another post in itself to see how the term shill is being misused in this case.

The simple facts are, what you call "chemtrails" have been explained for over 60 years. Air traffic has increased dramatically over the past 30 years, there are over 93,000 flights a day in the US alone. Aircraft manufactures created more fuel efficient engines in the 1980s. Airline companies want to reduce costs and adopted the more fuel efficient engines. The fuel efficient engines actually run cooler and make contrail formation easier. Airline companies fly at altitudes that natural cirrus clouds form. Spreading and persistent contrails are acknowledge as a type of pollution and they do have weather and climate impacts.

There are hundreds of papers studying contrails and vapor trails (or vapour to use the British spelling) going back to the 1930s. Dismissing all these studies does not strengthen any "chemtrail" statement.

The only way out is to understand the math and understand the science.

My expectation now is not to be responded to with rational discourse but more irrational, vehement insults. Prove me wrong. Try to have an adult conversation.

There is no doubt whatsoever that geoengineering through aviation Arial obscuration is a reality. "Chemtrails" are intended to increase the earths reflective or albedo, reducing the incoming solar radiation.

To those who argue that aircraft emissions that cover the entire sky crating artificial clouds are "persistent contrails", my comeback is "what difference does it make?"
