I used plastic containers but it was only in them a very short time, so I doubt much BPA leached into the water. |

Quoting: 4xcharmd It should be common sense to drink at least half your body weight (in ounces) of water each day. Unfortunately, people sometimes don't find out how important water is until they're sick and try to correct it through diet.. and give up their soda for water. Sometimes the answer is so simple. Its true I heard a doctor say that most people are chronically dehydrated and majority of health problems stem from not drinking enough water. Not to mention all of us should be drinking at least 1 bottle of water with a teaspoon of sea salt per day but who actually does that? Another mineral the average person is deficient in is magnesium. I make sure I drink tons of water daily and limit myself to 1 cup of coffee. I was a huge soda drinker but since giving that up feel a lot better. Water is good to flush all our toxins out too. With a chronic illness I have tons to flush haha I am allergic to stupidity so I break out in sarcasm When they said there was no Lyme in Florida they lied! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20765424 United States 11/03/2014 11:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A few people die every year from drinking to much water, so be careful. If you try this, which is not recommended, spread the water intake over a whole days period. Drinking lots of water everyday is a myth, there is no science or evidence to support the idea. The huge water intake advice literature has been tried to be purged several times, but it just won't go away. Studies show that water intake is not even needed if eating fruits is added to the daily diet. Do not drink to much water at one time, it could sicken or kill you. Quoting: beCareful 22372052 This is correct. It is called water intoxication or dilutional hyponatremia (screwed up electrolyte balance), which in turn causes water to enter the body cells and swell them. The science class experiment where a semi-permeable membrane "balloon" with a high salt solution (hypertonic) is placed into a solution with little salt (hypotonic) is a basic example of what happens...it grows or even bursts the balloon. The take away is water always chases salt. This movement of water from low to high concentration of solute (dissolved salt in this case) is called osmosis. This is how a loop diuretic like furosemide (Lasix) works. It causes the kidneys to not reabsorb salt therefore causing water to chase the salt and to be urinated (both salt and water are lost). Unfortunately, lasix also causes the kidneys to not reabsorb as much potassium as well, thus why people taking strong diuretics like this often receive potassium supplements in conjuction with furosemide therapy. [link to en.m.wikipedia.org] The wiki mentions that healthy kidneys can excrete about a max of 1 liter per hour under normal conditions. Stress such as prolonged physical exercise (e.g. marathon running) and pathological states (kidney failure) can greatly reduce this number. Slamming a gallon of water down (3.785 liters) in one sitting is a bad idea. In some pathological states like heart failure water intake and sodium intake is oftentimes very strickly regulated...so drinking tons of water is not a cure all, and sometimes can be extremely dangerous depending on the specific situation. If you do not know how much water you should be drinking or salt you should be consuming discuss it with your Dr. |

The salt water is HARD to get down, but necessary. I mix 1/4tsp of the pink mineral salt in like an ounce of water and drink it like a shot... then drink a glass of water to chase it down. I know people who will sip salt water all day... I'd throw up. |

In picture 1 the light came from above (most likely arteficial light, was taken at night or evening I guess), in picture 2 the light source is in front of her. That's why you see the shadows in her eye sockets in picture 1 as well as other shadows (up-light generally isn't nice to an older face). In picture 2 the light is flat which makes disappear all wrinkles. As a photographer I know about these things. Last Edited by Lianna on 11/04/2014 02:56 AM |
