spring. Odd considering the whole state is an aquifer.

There are springs all over the place here in Arkansas. They're everywhere. As a kid I always kept up with them (my older family members showed me many of them when we were in the woods) so that if I got thirsty while playing in the woods I could have something to drink. I drank from many springs and never got sick.

I drank directly from the source, not from some pool a few feet away.

Seems to be a lot near Frackville Pa. and Frackton NY

That was my first thought, what an ivasion of privacy. Imagine the feds taking over the spring/ well on your property or strangers demanding access to your well/spring water. Your water location on the world wide web.

There are some damn nice Caves in northern Arkansas, too.

i remember when my dad had property up franklin NY, on the ride home we would stop along the highway, there was this awesome spring, many travelers would stop too and fill up jugs.

Virtually every old property over here has a deep well. If you have one and take a sample to the local pharmacist, they will analyse it for you for a fee and tell you if it is fit to drink, and if not, how to make it so. Regarding freshwater springs, they are all over the shop. One near me even has a concrete housing on top from which protrudes a pipe and the water continually gushes out and is free to everyone to bottle and drink. Down in the Pyrenees they are more common than houses. No joking.

Sad that the second link lists states, but does not include Delaware.

I live in North Carolina and our water is very clean and pure. Course, we have a well and don't live anywhere near the Marines military bases. We also make sure to get our water tested at least every two years. Not because of impurities, but because the water table goes up and down and don't want the well sucking mud.

There's a place in ME called bingham, and theres a pipe that flows right out of the mountainside.

That was.... until that asshole Ralph told me that it ran through a cemetery up there somewhere. The fucker! I told him to drink it! I wouldn't touch it.

There was a spring in Pa that many people used to visit when I was kid. It was a spring that the Lenni-Lenape Indians used. It was so popular that a parking lot was built to reduce the amount of cars stopping on the side of the road. Then a bunch of people became ill and it was found the water was becoming contaminated with e coli. It was hailed as some of the purest wster in the East and they ruined it by allowing houses with septic systems be built close by (uphill and upstream).
