My dad however, thinks I'm a retard and that I do nothing but make mistakes every day of my life. He has no confidence in me. My mom will listen to my experiences and not be judgemental. My dad judges me before I can utter my second sentence and won't budge from his instant judgement no matter what facts I try to present. I'm happy for you OP that you have such a supporting mom.
