Thank you!!! That is cool! I bookmarked the page. I saw a sugar free diet listed on there. That is sooooo hard for me I wake up and go to bed craving sugar. If it isn't in the house I start getting desperate for anything even remotely sweet I will eat spoon fulls of honey peanut butter dipped in sugar etc its out of control.
 Quoting: _Obsidian_

Step up your fruit intake you will find you stop
craving refined sugar....100% warrenty or money back:)
 Quoting: LEKKER

I'm going to get some fruit at the store on my next trip! I haven't had fruit here in weeks! :-o I love grapes and plums problem is I get them and they are gone the first day lol
 Quoting: _Obsidian_

You should eat fruit 1st thing in the morning it speeds
up your metabolic system and help you to stay alert.
 Quoting: LEKKER

I'm going to start doing that! I usually always have oats and grains no fruit but it sounds far better!! :-)

I'm self employed. But lately I have barely been staying afloat because I haven't been putting as much effort into working. All I want to do is sleep.

I have been thinking of finding a normal job in addition mainly for a reason to have to get on a strict schedule and to be more mindful of time.

Re: How To Stay Motivated And Avoid Procrastination
Same with you, but now that's my past.

First, to be motivated, you must have a vision of your future. Believe that God will help you to achieve it. Imagine that you can be success in the future.

The second, do what you love and you will never feel like work again. Find what you like in life, find also your passion. Find more than one.

Both of them works for me. It eliminate procrastination and motivate me more.

JBU.
 Quoting: discipleofjesuschrist

I have a hard time envisioning the future I'm always so stuck on being miserable today. I think a lot of it has to do with disappointment because I didn't accomplish a lot of my past goals. I really do need to have a vision of my future that is very accurate.
 Quoting: _Obsidian_

Same with you again, my past is bad too. But, never live in the past, just live in the present. Like Jesus said, the problems of today, is only for today. You also can start to think about the future, but never be obsessive about it. The past cannot be changed, but you can start to build your ideal/perfect life in the future.

And, if all of the tips n tricks are fail, you must force yourself to change the unmotivated & procrastinate life, to be motivated and efficient life. But, forcing is more hard to do, better if you find another way to be motivated in life.

In extreme case, think like this: Everybody do mistakes every single day, and better late to change, rather than not at all. You have only one chance to live, after that you will die, what are you waiting for? And also, try to be closer with Jesus, it helps a lot. Jesus is the best companion in life, where you can just say anything to Him, even your deepest fear and secrets. Trust me, it works.

I have one another idea, if you're a spiritual person, try from today, to find the truth. Find who is the real God? What He want you to be? Search the meaning of life. Avoid stereotypical-knowledge, search again from zero. Meaningful life will bring motivation in your life.

Hi OP, yes, it is a modern syndrome, well, at least it is more prevalent these days.

Not sure if this will help you, but it is something I hear often in the back of my head. This is something I learned or heard long ago. I say learned, for off of this saying, I have told many a story.

It is an American football analogy, which is in particular for the running back (the guy who gets the ball handed to him by a quarter back and has to run past all of those defenders, big, huge blokes, to score a touchdown or hopefully at least for 10-yards and a first down. The saying which stays with me till this day goes something like this:

'Always keep your legs and feet moving forward, keep on running no matters what!'

Even if a defender seems to grip you strong on your upper body, keep running, pushing forward. And if he restrains your legs, keep those feet pushing forward. Every inch counts. Eventually you will get tackled. Get up and do it again.

Some running backs, who never give up:

Keep on moving.

Set some real goals. Move towards them. Remember though, unlike a sprint, this is a marathon. Keep a tempo, move towards your goals - keep moving and if you have a set-back, think of that running back (or whatever motivates you), get back up, brush the dust off your robe and move forward.

When i take vitamin Bs (which is rarely) i get too much energy and it's hard to sleep, remember our bodies can't hold on to the vitamin Bs so it needs to be taken daily, it has worked for people i know, and these people are very unmotivated, and it's not laziness whatsoever.

Yes, it sure does. I have several times been down and out in my life. Naturally, step, by step. That is all you can do. Yet the number one tip, imho, is:

Faith in God through Jesus Christ his Son.

That is my personal advice.
That always helped me get out of many a hole.

I have a sublingual liquid b complex. Problem is it is a few years old I haven't used it for a year or two. I don't think it expires until 2013. Do you think it is ok to use or would it have bacteria in it by now since I had put the dropper in my mouth? I bet most people don't even think about stuff like this but unfortunately I over analyze everything and am the type who always worries.

I tried Adderall for a problem similar to this. It did help at first, but it changed my personality. It caused me to be less empathetic and to have less patience with others. Everything became about "me". Also, all I wanted to do was "research"...lol... I was on the computer for hours.

Also I had a tendency to take to much and my skin dried out so badly it bled.

I'm so glad I finally after 2 years realized it was killing me!

No, he suffers from depression, it's not like typical emotional depression, he has to take testosterone and thyroid medicine too, his brain chemistry is screwed up...he happens to be brilliant by the way, but he suffers terribly when he doesn't keep up with his meds.

I may try to get that one at the Drs. I was reading the side effects and the benefits in this case far outweigh the risks. I have to get out of this rut!

I was put on Adderall for what sounds like a similar reason, as Brief's friend. It did help for 8 months or so but then wore off as other antidepressants have. Oddly enough it helped the arthralgia pain I have, that was almost the biggest benefit of that stuff! Please see my other post regarding the mess I was in with that stuff and that is only the half of it.

I also was on it when it when I started seeing the world was not quite right. So I stayed up for nights and took Adderall and researched the Rothchilds etccoffeecup. That led to a psychotic break for about 24 hours. Sometimes those "breaks" can be permanent. It was terrifying. I thought the rapture had come and gone and there I was left......believe me it is NOT a good medicine for some of us.

I'm so glad I finally after 2 years realized it was killing me!

omg that sounds horrible!!! At first when I started reading I saw less empathetic and thought oh good!!! I am overly sensitive and empathetic always have been maybe this is the answer. But my god that sounds bad and I'm scared to try it now.

Wow the research thing. :-o That is how I am now and I am not on anything. How disturbing. I can't stop until I have read an entire article read all the links in the article and looked up each thing I don't know. I will have so many tabs open at a time that my computer will crash. I have just now started noticing this as a problem since you mentioned it too. I feel like an info junkie. I read obsessively and some days I don't know how to stop and I don't get anything else done. It's awful. What was supposed to be a good thing has turned into a nightmare for me. I think its my way of coping with stress I either read or clean. But its a time and energy sucker. Even worse is reading negative things. Sorry to go on so much but your post really struck a chord for me! I can relate to that a lot.

He gave me a half tablet before and it's about like a strong cup of coffee...no jitters or nervousness but I was aware I was talking too much :)
