Would a loving supreme being desire that you worship and pray to him/her? Madness. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4934354 That you are among the created of creation does not mean that you are The Creator. You are most certainly not God. This is a quite deep subject and slightly off topic, but since it is an important concept, I will try to answer this question. All life in the universe is a piece/fractal of God. That means that we are all equal to God. It also means that we are all truly brothers and sisters. We are not less than God. God manifested it's being into many, many forms of life to learn. In the future, at some point we will all return to Source. What does this mean? It means that we are not this frail, finite physical body. We are an infinite powerful spiritual being. As such, we were never born and will never really die. Only this finite body will. I don't think that I can adequately do this question justice in one post, but I hope that helped some. Peace |

"I create the light and the darkness" or something like that So what is sin, then, if not God having a conscience about itself. There can be nothing outside of infinity. You are dancing around this topic. |

Would a loving supreme being desire that you worship and pray to him/her? There is no such thing as sin. We learn from good and bad experiences equally well. The good experiences with joy and happiness and the bad ones with suffering, but both teach us. We have free choice. As a man considered by many to be the most evil man on Earth, "Do what thy wilt is the whole of the law." This is true though. |

You are dancing around this topic. Either God is infinite or he is not, and then if he's not then you can be outside of him. That's enough. I feel I'm beginning to hijack the OP's great thread |

I would say so, but: New International Version (©1984) I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. New Living Translation (©2007) I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times. I, the LORD, am the one who does these things. English Standard Version (©2001) I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things. New American Standard Bible (©1995) The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these. King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.) I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. |

You just don't get it. God is infinite, so everything is god. Both good and bad. There, I had to spell it out for you, and also use the words of the Bible. Please, go ahead and debunk your God's words about this. Yes, of course, I am not perfect in all of my actions. |

Don't misunderstand this very important idea. Of course it is a disgusting, sick and evil act. My point is their is no Supreme Being/God that administers punishment. We are punished through our own karma. In other words, we suffer from this terrible thing by repaying for this crime in future lives. So, to summarize, what I am saying. God is not some father that punishes his children. We learn that this deed was wrong by correcting it in future existence. WE learn this deed is wrong, not because God said we sinned, but because we learned better. Not by sins laid down by a supreme judge. I hope that made some sense. This idea is SO important. I'm afraid that I may not have done the subject justice. I hope I did. Peace |

Would a loving supreme being desire that you worship and pray to him/her? My last response. I am going to stop reading posts on this thread. (No disrespect, I need to do house chores, like laundry and dishes, so that my wife comes home to a clean house.) Consider these words from the Bible: New International Version (©1984) I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. New Living Translation (©2007) I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times. I, the LORD, am the one who does these things.
