No magnetic reaction whatsoever. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 676674Interesting. Not that much iron in those cereals? I wonder if it would work with pumpkin seeds. They supposedly have lots of iron. User ID: 1403719 United States 05/31/2011 08:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In a saucer filled with water I placed Kroger brand Fruit Rings and Crisp berry Crunch in it...yes I buy generic and fill the name brand boxes with it and the kids don't know the difference :) I have some powerful ceramic magnets that you will find in a microwave... The Cereal is attracted to the magnet and quite obviously so...even before touching it so I know it didn't stick to the magnet because it was wet...but, each of the two cereals claims 25% USRDA for Iron. Actually "reduced" Iron which makes it more absorbable, however, a 65 mg Iron tablet was not affected by the magnet however it sank to the bottom and didn't float, so it really doesn't confirm or disprove anything concerning the tablet but the cereal does just exactly what is shown in the video... Who would want to feed us magnetic cereal? and why? Are they trying to increase our electromagnetic potential? |

Who would want to feed us magnetic cereal? and why? Are they trying to increase our electromagnetic potential? No, it's not that the cereal is magnetic but the mineral Iron, which is essential for the development of red blood cells, is a metal influenced by a magnetized object...the cereal is magnetic but not magnetized... understand? Although, it also has Zinc which has a slight repulsion force to a magnet, so...we have very little knowledge of nutrition and how our bodies use nutrients... But should their be enough iron in 1 cornflake that its effected by a magnet like that? I mean granted its a powerful magnet. But i would have assumed a SINGLE corn flake would not have that much iron in it. But who knows maybe im wrong. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1403251 United Kingdom 06/01/2011 02:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | crush a bag of cornflakes and hold a bar magnet to the bag, you'll see iron filings gathering. :) obviously, as this is a CONSPIRACY site, you have to then go away and come up with, "Why would government encourage us to saturate our kids' bodies with iron filings?"
