You need reduced iron, like from meat or beans. They could add a reduced form of iron to the cereal, but hey that would cost too much and no one would buy it. Iron filings are cheap and let's face it most of the sheeple have no clue or for that matter care about what it is they are consuming. |

When I was a kid I worked at the General Mills Foods plant in Calumet City on 103rd and the 'nasty' Calumet river. I used to work for a contractor that had the job of installing "wall-new" (epoxy plaster) on the production floor ceiling because the old concrete was crumbling. We were using walnut shells (crushed) to sand blast the ceilings (walnut shells are biodegradable). We would put up temporary 2x4 and 3/4" plywood walls to section off areas while the plant was in full production amking wheaties. Sometimes blast from the machine would blow down a portion of the wall it was so strong. All the Blast materials and dogshit off the ceiling would get blown right into the open boxes on the production line awaiting filling. The place was disgustingly nasty with monster roaches and the river smell of deep chemicals. I never ate wheaties after that job. I remember bringing home a roach for my fish tank monster gold fish. Two of the Goldfish ate this nasty bug and both of the fish died the next day/ Gross ! ah' those were the days/when fun was real fun.......... |
