Yeah we did this in chemistry back in the 10th grade. You can actually separate the iron shards from the rest of the cereal.

Tried the same test using corn flakes and moved them all around in a bowl of water. Obvious conclusion is that they contain lead. Sure stopped me from eating the crap.
