Does Gen X think they're going to have a Retirement comparable to the Boomers?

I was born in 71 . No illusion here and there haven't been since I was 15 or so when my high school econ political science teacher made this clear. He also told me to read the Federalist paper. About 7 years after I graduated, they forced him out of his job with false accusations.

I have always considered SSI just a tax - lost money. But I would happily give up any claim on this "lost money" if my children don't need to participate in loosing more. As for retirement, I made my own arrangements. No ideal, and not what the boomers consider "retirement" but then you get more of what you want when you want less. The important things in life are free. Its a cliche because it is true

6 figs ain't what it used to be for sho. It is ok for single living with no debt but if someone had kids and or support payments or alimony or student loans on top of the house and car - sheiiit. Might as well get on welfare and get the gibs after the government and bankers take it all.
