Mexico is fine
We just spent two years there, plenty safe, u can own a gun. But it’s limited .
Very livable lots of fresh produce everywhere,

Does t feel as free and open, very difficult to find a property with acreage.
Very tiny yards, everything is walled in, Nothing make sense. Zero groundwater for drinking coke and Pepsi own it all, can’t fish eat fish out of lakes and rivers as they all have fecal matter.

Spent 7 years on margarita island Venezuela during the Chavez gov.
It is a paradise, cheapest place on earth the island is plenty safe gas is 1/10 of a penny a gallon. All traffic laws are suggestions. All good organic by law.
Problem is u need a visa now to go there and the embassies here in the USA are refusing to give them out. Only way to get visa for Venezuela is in Mexico City. It’s jumping through hoops but can be done. There is a you tube vid of a guy doing it.
