There was already two news stories about this.

Ukraine got T55s from Bulgaria or somewhere and Forbes said these are UBER UPGRADED SUPER T55s!

And then when Russia brought out some T55s "Haha, look at these dweebs using 50 year old tanks".

Tank's like the Challenger are highly susceptible to artillery barrages(which it hasn't faced yet). Not only that, the T-55's seem better suited to the type of war they are fighting.

They have superior NBC(Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons protection) and have been field tested against nukes(used as an observational craft/platform).

The British want to test their tank vs artillery barrages. For urban/semi urban environments, the Ukrainians need smaller tanks.

The T-55 is the Soviet equivalent to an Abrams tank developed after WW2. The last major update was in the 80's before the Soviet Union fell. The updated T-55 is still being produced and sold throughout the world.

This conflict is a meat grinder similar to WW1 due to the applications of various weapons systems.

The war is not meant to be won, only to thin the herd.

The T-55 was developed in the 1940s and isn’t even in the same ballpark as Abrams or Challenger.

The Object 155 was scheduled for production on 1 January 1958, replacing the T-54 and accepted into service as the T-55 in the Red Amy by May 8, 1958. Overall, 27,500 T-55s were built until 1981, as many upgrades followed along the sixties and seventies. Most T-54s were upgraded along the same lines as the T-55, ended as hybrid series collectively known in NATO as the T-54/55. With combined production, this series remained the bulk of the Soviet conventional force until the fall of USSR, and was also largely exported.

The T-55 production eventually ceased at Kharkov in 1967 (replaced by the T-64) and at Nizhni Tagil in 1971 (replaced by the T-72). It was continued at Omsk (mainly for exports) until 1977.

Ukraine is low on munitions and shells and without the ability to wage war long term and then the articles say Russia is running low and can't keep the war up.

For over a year now Russia is running out of ammo as their rates of fire grow bigger and bigger every month.

After every round of Russian missile attacks they have been ran out of missiles according to the western news and then wave after wave of missiles keep coming.

Ukraine's government is falling apart and either being fired for corruption by Zelensky or outright assassinated by eachother. Then the articles are all about Russian dying and Russian dissension.

This Ukraine war is by far the biggest con job ever sold in terms of war. Over 500,000 Ukrainians are dead already, about 6 million of them have voluntarily migrated to Russian lands already. Millions ran off the other way to the west to be sex slave of the Poles and others. Ukraine is utterly destroyed and never coming back. All because they were used and abused by the western governments and Zelensky who do not give a shit about them at all.

This war is sold with lies and the citizens of the USA and all other nations behind this lying shit should have their governments toppled and entire press system wiped right out for it.

T-54 and T-55 tanks continued to be upgraded, refitted, and modernised into the 1990s. Advances in armour-piercing and high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) shaped charge ammunition would improve the gun's antitank abilities in the 1960s and 1980s.



A wide array of upgrades in different price ranges are provided by many manufacturers in different countries, intended to bring the T-54/55 up to the abilities of newer MBTs, at a lower cost. Upgrades include new engines, explosive reactive armour, new main armament such as 120 mm or 125 mm guns, active protection systems, and fire control systems with range-finders or thermal sights. These improvements make it a potent main battle tank (MBT) for the low-end budget, even to this day.

One of these upgrade packages was produced by Cadillac Gage Textron and a prototype named the Jaguar was produced. The Jaguar looked quite different from its predecessors. A newly designed turret was formed by flat armour plates installed at different angles. The hull top was new. The engine compartment and fuel tanks on the shelves over the tracks were armour-protected. The Soviet-made 100 mm gun was replaced with the American M68 105 mm rifled gun fitted with a thermal sleeve. A Marconi fire control system which was originally developed for the American light tank Stingray was fitted. The vehicle incorporated a Cadillac-Gage weapon stabilizer and gunner's sight equipped with an integral laser rangefinder. The power pack inherited by the Jaguar from the Stingray underwent only minor alterations and comprised the Detroit Diesel 8V-92TA engine and XTG-411 automatic transmission. In 1989, two Jaguar tanks were manufactured. The chassis were provided by PRC, while the hull tops, turrets and powerplants were manufactured by Cadillac Gage Textron.[15]

Another prototype upgrade package was produced by Teledyne Continental Motors (now General Dynamics Land Systems) for the Egyptian Army and was known as the T-54E. After further modifications and trials it was sent into mass production and received the designation Ramses II.

As late as 2013, Ukrainian companies were reportedly developing T-55 main battle tank upgrades targeting the export market.[16] The Type 59 is still in production, in several variants.[17]

The footage is of T55 tanks in storage in the Eastern district heading West..but not to Ukraine yet. The Russian army has rediscovered the effectiveness of the 57mm S60 in direct fire against ground targets.....these T55 are the basic platform for the ZSU-57-2 twin barreled armoured self propelled system....same chassis engine and transmission with different turret
