They have hand controllers for the flaps. Notice he's the only one that has his flaps tweeked all the way.

Yep. The position of the "wings" controls the pitch, and he held them opposed to each other to induce a spinning motion.

Lol, I've been on this ride a bunch of times. It's at Mall of America in MN.

He is a huge fat kid that has the controls all the way and his weight does the rest. Most People can not get it to spin like that.
