They send home "assignments" asking children to look through their bathroom, kitchen cabinets, junk drawers, etc at home and make a list of what they find. They even said that if the child didn't know what it was or how to spell it they could take a picture and the teacher would help them at school. Needless to say we did not complete this assignment and I complained to the school's empty ears. Assignments are given in order to identify "wrong think" in the home so they can pay special attention to that child in order to apply maximum pressure to brainwash. Debate papers in high school where the student must defend their position on subjects such as abortion, gun control, climate change, lgbtq rights or religion.

They are hell bent on destroying the nuclear family and don't even try to hide it.

I homeschooled mine all the way to college and my daughter went to college at 16, graduated with honors at 20....and is now an elementary school teacher. She thinks she can change things. I'm not going to tell her otherwise.

I took my kids out of school at the first sign of bullshit. I don’t know what I’m doing but I’ll tell you what, they are good at math and they read a lot of history. When they go out they are going to come straight back home and say “FUCK THAT” hahaha

I've thought that way since I was a teen and I'm fifty years old now. We took our son out of public school at nine years old. He's now completing a Masters in Chemical Engineering. He has a good job. Smart. Considerate. And has trade skills.

By contrast, his childhood best friend, from a well-to-do local family, went to our coveted public school. He's a doper bum.

A friend of mine since Kindergarten is a physician now. She compared high school to prison. I'd agree with her.

We homeschooled until high school, and spent 18 months touring local high schools, meeting with the principals, attending football games, talking to parents, arranging "shadow days" – and then helped our daughter chose the school that was right for her and our family.

We have had NONE of these issues described in this thread.

She loves going to school, appreciates her teachers, and is involved with all kinds of extracurriculars: marching band, dance, drama, academic team, French club, Latin club, anime club, etc. etc.

If your schools are shit, either take over yourself (homeschool), seek other options, or dare I say it -- move.

If you don't take it seriously and are content to send your kid to a local shit school, that's your choice. There are plenty of great schools that don't fall into the nonsense complained about in this thread.
