He was removed from the flight deck and replaced by a non Southwest pilot who was commuting on that flight. This is now the fifth pilot incapacitation that I’m aware of in the past two weeks. I will post more details as they become available. @SouthwestAir @USFreedomFlyers @DocPeteChambers @LTCTheresaLong @P_McCulloughMD 5th pilot in 2 weeks who became incapacitated (that he has heard of.) Soon, flying will be out of the question. Every surgeon in the country had mandated shots. You know, to save lives. Courtesy of SCOTUS. |

These pilot incidents AREN'T real (or as real as we are told) but are being used as scare stories to EVENTUALLY justify a reason that flying is unsafe and not to risk travel. They'll reduce flights to the wealthiest. Add to the lockdown agenda and its all about preventing freedom of movement. Bigger picture here. Remember it's not just the pilots in those planes. Every flight has tenfold the number of stewards that often fly more back to back shifts than pilots are allowed or with fewer breaks. Why is it only seemingly pilots being reported? Statistically we'd here more of stewards as there are more. Right? Doesn't add up. It's too specific. I'd believe it more if all airborne staff were coming down. Not just the limited number of skilled pilots. Freedom of movement. Think! Last Edited by AntonyMaussen on 03/23/2023 05:05 PM |

Soon, flying will be out of the question. Unless they were inflight, a pilot riding the jump seat, from another airline even, can not just sit in to pilot a plane. I call bs to that. So many regulations would be broken with that crazy story. They would need to wait for another pilot to fly in on another flight to pilot their plane. I don’t think Vegas is a pilot base or big hub for Southwest. Are the words "AFTER TAKEOFF" somehow confusing to you? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 82241665 United States 03/23/2023 05:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | U.S. trained pilots are still the best pilots in the world. More emphasis on hand-flying than relying on automation and bad CRM. The world of "diversity and inclusion" is gaining some traction, which is not a good thing in that world, but it is not out-of-control (yet). Contrast this with Obama's changes to the hiring criteria for Air Traffic Controllers in 2014, where qualifications were diminished in contrast to diversity and inclusion points. The perfect storm is an under-qualified pilot or flight crew (think Atlas Air/Amazon Prime crash) being controlled by an unqualified ATC controller. |

Great that the other airline pilot rescued but would think the protocol is for the co-pilot to take over. Guess one of them had to get the guy out of the captain’s seat, maybe that’s what the commuter did? Quoting: jackleson This same thing happened last November. A pilot went unconscious right after takeoff, co-pilot had to take over and return to the airport, he told the tower, that after he landed, he would have to drag the pilots body out of the seat, because the steering wheel for taxiing, was in the pilots seat. The pilot died. The control functions for ground taxi are the same in the left and right seats... They played the actual tape of the conversation between the co-pilot and the tower, that is what he said. Do you have a link to the ATC recording? |

Anonymous Cuckhold User ID: 85498387 Brazil 03/23/2023 06:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually...that's pretty common. Just throw it on google (mid-air pilot deaths per year) and you'll see that there is fairly common not only a pilot became incapacitated but also die while flying. Btw, keep in mind that those guys are flying everyday @ 40.000 ft and are mostly unshielded against UV ray radiation. That's why usually fighter pilots tend to retire from flying before they turn 50. we're just fancy monkeys that happen to fly at 40.000ft. |
