Pilots collapsing in flight, left right and center!

Josh Yoder, March 22, 2023

I’m being notified by passengers on a Southwest flight departing Las Vegas that the captain became incapacitated soon after takeoff this morning. He was removed from the flight deck and replaced by a non Southwest pilot who was commuting on that flight. This is now the fifth pilot incapacitation that I’m aware of in the past two weeks. I will post more details as they become available. @SouthwestAir @USFreedomFlyers @DocPeteChambers @LTCTheresaLong @P_McCulloughMD

5th pilot in 2 weeks who became incapacitated (that he has heard of.)
Soon, flying will be out of the question.

Covid Vaccine Injuries, March 17, 2023

Two more emergency landings reported in the last 24 hours.

One passenger had a cardiac arrest and died on board, the other had a heart attack and was transported to the hospital.

I'm a flight medic.... we fly both fixed wing and helio. So far there's not been any issues but in the flight medicine world, I know of 2 fatal flight accidents that seem not to have any "reason" for failure, and a third that was successfully landed. It is truly frightening.

Install the flightradar24 app on your phone and enable alerting for Squawk 7700 (in flight emergencies). It's free

I've had it on my phone now for a year and the daily alert count has gone from 1 or 2 a year ago to 12-15 now daily !

Shit. An increase of anywhere between 6 to 15 times. Median is 10.5.
So there is an average increase of 10 times the in flight incidents.

Unless they were inflight, a pilot riding the jump seat, from another airline even, can not just sit in to pilot a plane. I call bs to that. So many regulations would be broken with that crazy story. They would need to wait for another pilot to fly in on another flight to pilot their plane. I don’t think Vegas is a pilot base or big hub for Southwest.

This was a legit incident.

Yoder was right. Another pilot onboard from a different airline stepped up to assist

Where was the Co-pilot, wonder? Great that the other airline pilot rescued but would think the protocol is for the co-pilot to take over. Guess one of them had to get the guy out of the captain’s seat, maybe that’s what the commuter did?

Twatter vaxxtards were calling BS on it yesterday.

First time in my recollection where a dead-heading pilot from another carrier assumed a flight crew role on the flight deck in an emergency---or any other circumstance.

Even though he was acting as FO and not P.I.C., embarrassing for SWA, to say the least, and a wake up call.

Obvious issue is obvious.

They can't keep the lid in forever.

This same thing happened last November. A pilot went unconscious right after takeoff, co-pilot had to take over and return to the airport, he told the tower, that after he landed, he would have to drag the pilots body out of the seat, because the steering wheel for taxiing, was in the pilots seat. The pilot died.

The solution to SADS is to mandate two co-pilots now and one additional co-pilot per booster.

They played the actual tape of the conversation between the co-pilot and the tower, that is what he said.

There may not have been one. Airlines are stretched thin and are crying for experienced pilots these days, there's a shortage, and the pilots they do have are overworked.
