Why is the British Health Service so inconsistent? Some people get so much treatment yet I was refused a measly scan?

I have never understood this nor ever understood the fuss about Britain having a free national health service.

Its so inconsistent.

Some people get so much spent on them: disability scooters probably costing $50,000, boob jobs free, ambulances sent to their door for a minor headaches and so on

Yet when I asked for a head scan for dizziness the hospital refused and said its not needed

I was suffering dizziness for MONTHS ffs

I dont get it

And I don't even get medicine free. I have to pay for it.

Is there a special way to get this magical free treatment on the so-called Great British NHS that everyone is constantly banging on about?

hesright

They are useless. Always had to figure it out myself - hereditary liver condition and adhd. Once I started supplementing magnesium i got better but docs failed me at every turn and offered no help - said it was all in my head and refused to help further. NHS is dead to most unless you pay to win.

They treat you quicker if you work. If they ask you if you work, say yes and make something up (if you don't).

The non-workers and retired are thrown on the scrap heap or killed off, if they get the chance.

Not true, my mid 90's parents will attest.

If you have time you will eventually be seen by someone.

The problem is there are far too few competent caring staff, nurses and doctors due to diversity hiring, causing further loss of moral.

Like society and the world in general the whole system is breaking down because of too many useless eaters being kowtowed to by scum-bag communistic politicians, civil servants, public sector workers and "news" media.

Go private, or pay for your scan, if you think it will reveal something miraculous. Otherwise do as doctors and Google your symptoms. Medical knowledge is no longer a secretive preserve of the few.

If only that was true. My Grandmother stopped work at 25 (only part time in a shop work) with the birth of her one child, then lived to be 92.

The amount of resources she sucked out of society was obscene and totally ungrateful as though her paying 5 and 6 shillings somehow entitled her to the hundreds of thousands she took out in health care, benefits and pension.

You need to get a referral from your GP. You've done it the wrong way. GP says you need a head scan, you'll get it
If the hospital refuses its because you've failed the accepted triage symptoms for that treatment.
It's free treatment, not free for you to choose what you want
Simples.
