Actually after the Salem Witch Trials some of the survivors did get reparations.

One of my relatives got reparations for the hanging of her husband.

I calculated for inflation, and she got about 6 million dollars in today's money.

She remarried and had a great life with all that money.

P.S. One of my 10th great grandfathers founded Salem, and there's a statue of him in Salem.
