Oh Sh*t.
They say the American Economy is War and Christmas. Well we do kind of have a War but it looks like there might be no Christmas.

The Consumer Economy Has Completely Collapsed – “It’s a Ghost Town” for Holiday Shopping Everywhere

“Crowds? I see nothing. I’m surprised,” retail worker Jeremy Pritchett told FOX 2. “Normally, it’s wrapped all the way around the building. Today: no one.”

That’s the typical ground report from areas all over the country. No one, literally almost no one, is doing any holiday shopping and the traditional Black Friday rush to get deals and discounts just didn’t happen. Financial media are scratching their puzzlers, perplexed with furrowed brows.

Couple this with the current collapse of the Residential Real Estate Market - sales of homes down almost 40 % YoY per Redfin - and we are looking at a very, very ugly economic situation.

Solution: the Great Reset.

Prices have been low for over two weeks now, and online shopping has taken precedence over in-store shopping..

I barely see the UPS, FedEx or Amazon trucks on the road in my area. Where are they?

I think overall sales of Christmas stuff will be way off including online. No one has extra money except upper middle class and the Rich.

hesright

The money is running out. Anyone with a brain knew it was coming. The financial media kept acting like people would run up debt forever to sustain the buying spree. A few weeks ago there were reports that lower income working people were already tapping their 401ks and home equity. They expected it to move up the income brackets in the coming months. When people don't have money they quit buying stuff.

And online sales isn't what is happening, Amazon and the tech companies are laying off workers too.

What is the real truth? Because there’s another thread today that says the malls are booming with people.

I understand black Friday sales were pretty good. So does that mean everything stops on Saturday and Sunday?

Hmmm. I'm seeing a trend here.
First Doctors are baffled, and now
retailers are baffled.

Yes, baffled that if their customers are maxed out on their credit cards and have no extra money in their bank account, they can't buy anything extra.

Re: Next up, Economic Collapse- The Consumer Economy Has Completely Collapsed– “It’s a Ghost Town” for Holiday Shopping Everywhere
I went to Walmart last night to get a few things and ended up buying several 2.25 lbs. packages of 90% lean ground sirloin for $4.78 each and the 12 pack 85% lean angus steak burgers which is 4 lbs. for $8.29 each. You can’t buy the tube hamburger that cheap!

I asked the guy marking all the stuff down why there was so much marked down and why at such a great deal and he said they packed the shelves for the holiday shoppers but nobody bought any of the expensive stuff or much of anything at all really and they were marking it all down trying to sell it. He said they had so many turkeys left that they marked them down 75% and they still had plenty.

The economy is most definitely on the ropes and going down for the count!
