There are homeless bums living in the park that have stories to tell.

Surely, we need to set our sights a lot higher than that.

Only if you choose to own nothing. There are those who own nothing and are unhappy... they will become happy. There are those who own stuff and are also unhappy... they may become happy if they rid themselves of their possessions... but also they could become happy just by having a greater standard of living - like a basic universal income that raises the standard of living for everyone - rich and poor.

Years ago, my best friend was moving from Knoxville, TN to Austin, TX. I was helping him move and his truck was fully packed and he couldn't find one of his cats.

We all started looking around the house and it started to seem like he would have to drive away not knowing what happened to his cat.

At the very last minute, I found his cat behind their washing machine and he was able to move with his whole family on board.

That's a story. One of many. That's life.

Better maybe, but not better off.

The people with the most interesting stories to tell aren't always the best people.

Sometimes they are evil , but they've had many incredible experiences.

Sometimes they are fabulously wealthy as well.

Why?

I have met people that had the most boring circumstances....but because they are good story tellers and charismatic, their boring circumstance seemed like just the most amazing story unfolding.. Meanwhile the guy with the crazy cirmcumstance, can make a bland tale, from something that should have captivated the audience.

Neither matter. What difference does it make what kind of "stories" you have when you're dead?

What difference does it make how many possessions you had when you're dead?

Literally nothing matters, you're just going to die.

Sounds like something someone who failed at life would say. No offense. I guess be happy with what you have. I have family to provide for so I'll keep striving for more.

You won't be floating around in the ether somewhere remembering and thinking about your life for eternity. You won't even know you existed ever at all.

That's life. You don't get those stories from tapping on a black mirror all day.

It's funny how you think it matters.

Someone could sit in their basement tapping on their phone their entire life and you could run around the world climbing mountains and jumping out of planes and it wouldn't matter in the least. You'll both be dead forever and so will everyone you ever knew.

Of course you don't, because it sucks. It's depressing. That's why you should enjoy your life while you are alive.

Still doesn't change the truth though.

If death was pointless, so would be life. We are Playstation 1 minds trying to figure out Playstation 5 life. (And that's being very generous).

Harry is right, if you have no stories you haven't lived. That only matters if you need to be remembered. The best of us have already been forgotten so if we are too then we rest in great company.

Maybe someone doesn't want stories. It's just your opinion. Live life how you want.

Maybe someone wants to watch movies their entire life and that's what makes them happy. They watched other people's stories their entire life. And then they died, just like you. So what?

That's why they built the pyramids... The computer dies, but the software lives.

We're in this together.

Here today, gone tomorrow. Get to that bucket list.

You're not gone if you're remembered. So make some stories.

The person who lived a full exciting life brags to the person who lived a simple boring life, and then hundreds of years go by since they died and it literally never mattered at all.

Eventually a million years will have gone by.
