As much as I dislike Brandon and the demorats, this has nothing to do with them. It’s a combination of:

A) People are fleeing the tyranny of the blue states to live in Florida, and driving up occupancy
B) Mortgage interest rates are up so people can’t afford a mortgage
C) The cost of housing in the Tampa area is beyond ridiculous
D) Because of B and C, more people have to rent and, basic supply and demand, it pushes up rent costs

I recently bought 26 acres of land in central Pennsylvania for $125K. Literally today I was on Zillow looking for land north or east of Tampa and 5 acres costs about $300K. Land quality is worse too.

I guess that’s the price of freedom - everyone wants to live in a feee state, making it cost prohibitive.
