I know someone who had a bleeding heart moment and got a hotel room for a homeless person they barely knew. Homeless person tried to start a fire in the room, and almost burnt the place down.

I'd applaud it too, if it weren't for the agenda.

They want all of us in a form of gov't housing and on gov't food assistance.

And they will get it. A lot of these places are independently owned motels. Like Motel 6 franchise. They will end up folding or the gov't will buy them out.

I once, a few years ago, had a residual (from when I was a liberal) bleeding heart moment and gave a traveling woman (not exactly homeless, she had a car and a dog) a place to stay for a few days.

Her name was Karen, and she ended up trying to get me kicked out of my apartment because I didn't want her calling me every day afterwards.

After all I did for her!

She lived up to her name!

Now I am as cold and heartless as they get!

In BC, the government is buying up urban motels and hotels to house homeless people without informing the neighbours they are doing so. These places quickly turn into nightmares of drug dealing and filth to the tune of millions of dollars of taxpayer money wasted.
