How do you feel about killing insects? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 83947975 08/01/2022 09:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'll go well out of my way to get them out of my house alive, even cockroaches. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83947975 Nice to hear from others that do the same, I don't there are too many like us. No, thankfully, there are not. Most people are reasonably sane. What goes around comes around. Good luck with all your "sanity." |

Insects, animals, spiders etc etc want to live the same as you and I....Just beacuse we can does not mean we should. Last Edited by BabsyT on 08/01/2022 09:45 PM Don't Be An Asshole...Just Be Nice! Anonymous Coward User ID: 78131002 United States 08/01/2022 09:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've done my fair share of killing, especially spiders, ants, flies, bees, and moths that get into my home. Quoting: E CaT PanTHer However I'm starting to feel really guilty lately everytime I swat one of these creatures. Is killing insects morally wrong? Do insects feel pain? Does the Bible condemn these killings? Will god judge me in the afterlife? We catch and release our insects if they get into the house, down here in Florida. Sometimes Mother Natures Creatures find their ways into our houses, so we just catch them and release them back outside where they belong. |

I catch bugs with a small plastic cup (put it over them) and an index card (slide it under the cup with the bug). In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |

Quoting: E CaT PanTHer However I'm starting to feel really guilty lately everytime I swat one of these creatures. Is killing insects morally wrong? Do insects feel pain? Does the Bible condemn these killings? Will god judge me in the afterlife? I feel terrible! I don't think there is anything inherently wrong about killing, but when done compulsively, with no regard, and without any sense of justice, yes it is wrong. I believe a wise man understands when to stay a strong hand. Whenever I swat at a bug it's compulsive, and thus I feel guilty. |

I have a soft spot for moths that find their way in my home. U use a shot glass to trap them when they're on the wall or ceiling, then take the glass outside and give them a nudge to release. |

Not knowing better back during the viet nam days I killed a tarantula not knowing any better... and then I went to a bug zoo and held one in my hand...... It was an awesome experience. Back in your Vietnam days? My ex husband was in the military during Viet Nam... I am that old now ok I dunno about your ex-husband, but your father is surely Satan. |

Yeah, same thing happened to me quite a few years back, although I still and will always steal the life of flies that decide to enter my domicile. Disgusting creatures that shit all over everything they touch. My girl fervently hates spiders and tries to force me into a violent reaction when they cross her path. Most times I catch and release, I think she hates me for it, lol. User ID: 71238486 United States 08/01/2022 09:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I lived in someones basement for 2 yrs saving money. For the most part it was too cold for any insect. But during summer time they were everywhere but the basement. I lived peacefully with every spider that made its way into the basement for warmth and summer time they earned their keep. Can't count how many times on all my fingers and toes I woke up to a spider repelling down to my face But none ever bit me. Wouldn't doubt if I ate a few while sleeping. Everything has it's place in nature though. If you don't want them in your house then kill them or trap to release outside. If you're chilling outside try to find a way to just repel them. My posts that can be misconstrued as "extreme" and/or "radical" are satirical. #NoHymenNoDiamond #PoppedCherryDontMarry |

Paper wasps I kill immediately. Red wasps I will tolerate in small numbers. But when they think they can push me around, they get killed. Mud daubers are just a pain putting their mud nests everywher and plugging anything with a hole. So they pretty much get killed. Fire ants. Kill on sight. Bifen. Pussy pillars, die. LIttle stinging monsters. Tent worms also get killed with extreme prejudice. Spiders in the yard I leave alone. Justme |

I have poisoned them and I got a bunch of them but they fled to other trees in the yard. Yesterday I sprayed around all of the other trees and got a bunch more.
