When I was young, I had a similar thing happen with a small shoebox of firecrackers. I set the open topped box a little too close to a small outdoor fire we were using to roast marshmallows. A sappy piece of wood on the fire popped loudly and sent a small ember into the box and maybe 1,000 or so regular sized firecrackers all went off within about 6 seconds. Nobody was even remotely hurt, because it was only my cousin and I sitting by the fire at the time, but I was bummed because that was my entire supply of daytime fireworks for that year and I had just finished unraveling all my firecracker strings so I could light the firecrackers one at a time.

Every 4th of July, my cousin and I used to roam the beach looking for empty clam shells or empty snail shells, and when we found one we would put a firecracker in it and blow it up. It's amazing how cheaply young boys can be entertained for hours.

The little boy was sitting near the fireworks stash. a fireball made him jump and scream as it hit the stash. Blue shirt guy went to check the stash, saw the event coming and took off.

Fucking fireworks, sold to simpleton losers who deserve what they get.

There are five grown ass men… I’m glad nothing happened to the children.
