We drove by a fire station panhandling with their boots yesterday.

I found it ironic that employees of a municipality whose wages are paid by the taxes charged on the citizens' property, purchases, and rights are by the letter of the law legally allowed to panhandle.

Trump brings bums everywhere.

We have 2 on a major traffic stop, they are there everyday but Sunday. It's a full time job and they are clearly being pimped by some drug dealer or something
One man stopped and gave her wrapped up McDonald's burger and she took the burger and put in her backpack she is not hungry so why is she begging heroine addicted and alcoholics have no appetite

Not to mention all the times I gave them what I had and they just looked down at it and scoffed. A lot of ungrateful assholes. I stopped giving them anything. I’ll give a fellow woman money they are far more grateful.

I hear people make a lot of money panhandling. It's harder work than you might think, but at least they aren't working for the man, and they probably don't pay taxes on that money since it's cash.

On the other hand, most people don't carry cash anymore and that has made panhandling increasingly less profitable.

TDS served a purpose, the media programmed its adherents expecting the TDS to go dormant while it’s not needed.

Live in the city for a while and you will become a cynic. You see people running the exact same scams assuming you have not seen them before. One suit wearing man needed some money to help as his family was in the van (not visible). I remember one girl asked for enough money to get back to the suburb,which happened to be the last stop, therefore most expensive stop. Saw her two weeks later with the same issue, I asked her how she planned so poorly that this happened again.

They’re all over town here. I never give them anything. The other day I’m driving through downtown,this guy has a sign that says just “DOLLAR”, I gave him the $2 I had for originality, or lack there of…

Total bullshit! They would rather stand on a corner all day begging for money from strangers, while there are signs EVERYWHERE looking for help. Why would someone choose to humiliate themselves, when they could better themselves with a job and keep their dignity?

That is forever encouraging and promoting for more addicts

The front line level workers really want to help

But at the executive and upper management level

They are only looking at how to always get even more funding

Some are needy but i have profesional panhandlers by me that have been there for years.
Watched one as the line was pulling away pull out a wad of bills to wrap his new handout in.
Saw him latter driving off in a brand new 4 runner.
Its hard because i have seen genuine prople who need help so I ask God if they need and if i get a bad feeling i just move on.

Saw one guy at like 2pm on the corner asking for change ... Lookin like a bum, saw same guy at 7pm in the mall across town ... Had a wad of bills that would choke an elephant ... Easy $5000 cash he pulled out of his pocket in the food court to pay for his sandwich.

See the same guy a few times a week on different busy corners.

Glad I didn't give him any of my cash and drove by him.

Won't ever be making a donation through this method ever ... Find a homeless person not begging for money and help them instead with a meal or hiring for an "odd job" ... If they have the brains and balls to street beg they can take a fast food order and earn cash ... At least play music and be a busker for cash.

Lookin to help people? The ones actually in line at a food bank with kids in tow would be a better option.

During the Tudor times in England - the workshy used to camp-out in the forests and get up to all sorts of mischief - a landowner could bring one of these miscreants before a magistrate and have them compelled to work on his land for a yr for a fixed salary. It was a very tightly regulated society, with lots of freetime and no massive beaurocracy to enforce it - all done by citzens themselves, if they saw a crime being commited they bought the offender before a magistrate and would recieve half the fine imposed upon the miscreant.

True, you have to be discerning. Went into the gas station shop a few months ago. Two black teenage youths sitting outside. One asked me for a bread, said they qere hungry. I gave him a bread and a small bottle of soda. The other day a black youth passed me on the street, asked me for Money for food. Told him i'm sorry and i myself am very poor. Could hear him mouthing off behind me, i just thought: Ja ja bla bla. The other day my son and i were in the cheapest supermarket chains in my country. Black youth comes up to me and ask if i can help him with food. I genuinely could not, i'm clinging onto survival like a tick, as it is.i took my dunglasses off, looked him in the eyes and explained this. He looked surprised. In this country there's this perception amongst blacks that whites cannot be poor. In the provincial capital there's lots of whites at the traffic lights, living like this. I don't give them anything, i can't afford to help them either. I doubt they nake as much as the beggar described in the OP though. Everything here is Heinously, preposterously expensive, there ain't really a place where they can get some bang for their bucks, except maybe some Paki shops. Thank any and all gods and deities for Paki shops, my son and i would've starved otherwise.
