This is a movie, when a simple person, has a reality shifting experience that changes their perspective on reality. While they’re indoctrinated into a new world of magic. Indoctrinated into a cult ideology.

When you learn something, when you understand something differently, a part of you must die. This is strongly symbolized in cults such as skull and bones.
