Hmmm. Could be I guess? But certain allergy drugs have what feels like a signature side effect of the rls. And certain combos. Like if I take Claritin and maybe a nighttime decongestant later. |

As well as weighted blankets. Dr. Had me on Ropinirole... A parkinsons med. It worked wonders but can cause night terrors and paranoia... Found that low level THC in liquid form keeps the RLS at bay as well... Quinine worked wonders but is hard on the liver and kidneys and I only have 1 kidney left. I'd worry about seroquel, thats an antipsychotic I had very bad experiences with after surgery... |

Easiest way for the body to absorb and use magnesium (not in food) is transdermal. Does not have to be applied to the area of concern to benefit, but may benefit more quickly that way. Soaking in a tub helps? Add some magnesium to the water to get better benefits! Or, but or make GOOD quality magnesium oil, rub it on your body SOMEWHERE daily, and save on the water bill. The 'old ladies' that soaked their feet in a tub of Epsom salt water when it was their back hurting knew what they were doing. |

One night I couldn’t stand it so decided to take a bath. It worked! The restless legs stopped like magic. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81458322 I tried it again…same result! Now I have done it many times and it works consistently. It may even work in a shower? I don’t know about that since I’m tired when this occurs so a bath 🛁 is my go to. Magnesium (bisglynate) - in the morning and the evening - Trophic liquid Potassium tablets in the morning Limit Caffeine Limit Benadryl if possible |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73234572 United Kingdom 06/01/2022 07:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I can agree with you here - I have done some reserch on this so its quite interesting that this has come up here - I first heard about RLS on a commercial while on holiday in the US. RLS is something pretty much unheard of in the UK. I asked a doctor about this and he said, do you not find it strange that its advertised so much about it in the US, lots of drugs offered but we never hear about it here in the US. He told me that drug companies can promote their drugs much easier in the US - RLS is so unspecific and could be the result of other meds, other viruses that you have had in the past, the most interesting part of it was he said that most of the drugs given for RLS do nothing and just to make money |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78876075 United States 06/01/2022 07:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, RLS is completely real. My ferritin and magnesium levels were normal to high. Parkinson's drugs like requip work but have risky side effects like persobality c hanges, compulsive gambling, etc... Gabapentin half worked but left me a sleepy idiot. Tramadol has been the miracle drug that lets me sleep and wake up clear headed and without side effects. Have taken the same dose for years without needing to increase it. |
