from.what I hear you can get the same benefits as a paying member if you have enough green karma. That's probably the only reason anyone participates in the karna system. I guess there's a forum exclusive to "upgraded" members. I believe there's private messaging. Not sure if private messaging is for all members or only upgraded ones. I guess those are why some non paying members choose to participate in the karma system. I'll just stick with being AC. I can live without that stuff.

His karma looks pretty green to me not that I give a fuck about karma. Like I said the only reason anyone would give a fuck is if they wanted the benefits of a paying member without paying money. Not sure how much green karma you need to get the benefits of a paying member without paying. From what he said sounds like he likes paying so he probably doesn't give a duck about karma.
