Trying to Pick the Best Carolina Atlantic Town to Move to Stat Any advice will be appreciated. I'm retired but want to work some again. Need low crime, nice beach not too far away, and lowest cost of living as possible. What's a real nice seaside town/area in N. or S. Carolina? Thanks for any help. |

When I was stationed at Ft Bragg my favorite place to go for a long weekend was Wilmington Beach NC. Chill town, not too much of a partying crowd. Quaint old part of town with nice neighborhoods and big old willow trees, but you're also right near a pristine beach. Trying to Pick the Best Carolina Atlantic Town to Move to Stat Charlestown is expensive and myrtle beach can get crazy. Wilmington is tourist town and college town. South point is cool with a ferry port. Greenville and Jacksonville NC are other options. Elizabeth City is cool but its up close to the VA border. |

Trying to Pick the Best Carolina Atlantic Town to Move to Stat Johns Island SC- 8 miles to downtown Charleston and probably 10 - 15 mins to Folly Beach. A lot of SC produce grows on Johns Island which can be an added treat! Tomatoes are probably crop of choice down there. |
