NO, it IS a big deal. The U.S. /EU is trying to destroy Russia's economy by sanctions, which are hurting the value of the Ruble. If all of these countries have to pay in rubles for gas and oil, instead of Dollars and Euros, the value of the Ruble goes up, while the value of the Euro and Dollar goes down. It is a win-win for Russia.

The EU (especially Germany) has been leveraging the West against the East for the best deals for decades. They pinned their bets poorly and built up their enemies. They deserve the same thing that's coming to American retail. I don't mean empty shelves, I mean empty stores and a loss of overtly cheap retail. China will embargo us one day.

Germany shut down their nuclear plants, and tried switching to solar, unfortunately for them, Germany has too much cloud cover, too much of the time, and the solar panels weren't generating much output. Wind and solar are pipe dreams.
