How are all these millions of unemployed workers paying their bills??

I heard they are burned out, scared, either from Covid or the vax. They are living off of savings

Hundreds of thousands of people out of work right now.

You figure most people have couple months at least to support themselves but then they might be in trouble.

You get by with much less. Get your bills down to absolutely bare minimum. You can work part time and still make it.

They just aren't. Eviction moratoria made the biggest expense, rent, something everyone stopped paying, and now there are rental assistance programs paying off back rent for many people. No one has been paying their credit cards, it takes about a year for a credit card Co. to actually do something to you in terms of a law suit.

So basically everyone has focused on food and the essentials, keeping the car running, public transportation.

Of course some people got more in unemployment than they made in their old job, so some came out in a better situation.

I’m wondering the same. It seems like every quarter or so, we’re bombarded with stories about the vast majority of of Americans having little to no savings. With that, if they’re just not paying their bills, their credit will be wrecked beyond repair…unable to buy a home, car, etc. They’ll also lose their homes and cars. I don’t understand the end-game at all…but I’m definitely leaning more towards the theory that rather than millions unemployed, racking up insurmountable debt, there simply aren’t as many people around.

I don't know anyone who is "out of work" right now. I sure know a lot of people in their 50s and 60s who decided to retire early.

and start their own businesses.

Many are living with relatives. There was a figure a year or two ago that a third of millenials live with their parents or a relative. It might be higher than that now

There are lots of ways to drop out of the system, if you do not need a lot of money to live.

some people saved their money and have opted out of the system for the nexst few years.

I can't work right now because i need two new knees and eye problem but everyone i know is working hasn't stopped working and working overtime many of them ..

plus we have 6 meat packing plants within 60 mile radius all working full time both shifts and ours in town saturday to running 1,660 head of hogs per hour .. lol

Sone talking head here in minnesota said every single hospital bed was taken in minnesota bout two weeks ago and that was complete BS i know traveling nurses and maintenance people all over ain't nothing unusual going on .. other than sick people like there always has been more heart problems and weird cancers out of nowhere

Most of us GenX'rs living off the crumbs of the bloated prior generation - we still survive - but more than half of my graduated High School Class from the 1980's are dead already (dispair, poverty, addiction, motorcycle crashes, suicide....). We also lurk in the shadows and have built an underground cash society.
