Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81467889 The first thing I will do after putting my shoes on is check the time. More than 5 minutes of shaking is a 9+. Bout time for Juan to let 'er rip! Have to wait until the opposition is positioned in the pacific. The pacific is going to be neat. So we tell them I’m in Washington state and when they come the ocean turns to foam. You can float in stagnant water but not water that is turbulent, you just sink. The Pacific Ocean will be a whole lot like space for about ten minutes. Those ten minutes will be the window of opportunity to take them out. So we have to give them time to get here which means we still have about 2-3 weeks before the earth quakes. |

I miss a good thunderstorm. |

I didn't know if you lived near the Salt or had to drive to it . yeah , I like the thunderstorms to but I don't miss the tornadoes at all . Had to many close calls with them and saw first hand the tragedy left by them for a family that did not survive one . Watching the bigger birds skirting them is very cool though . |

I'm currently next to the strait of Juan de Fuca; used to be directly on top of the Seattle faultline. The natives here have the legend of whale vs eagle circa 1700. It made a big impression on them, since entire villages were wiped out and the landscape changed permanently. A 9+ in the PNW today would be mindboggling. A Rainier eruption would collapse the rotten west side and send rivers of mud through waterways all the way to Seattle, wiping out towns along the way. PNW doom! |

I spent time on San Juan Island years ago . Very nice place . The whale thunderbird battle is epic when considering the possible reason of its roots . The toll of life such an event there today would take is nearly unfathomable to most people . I hope to never see it .The possibility of it kicking off a volcanic event is probably slim but I can not totally discount it . About the only thing in this life we may be sure of is that we can't be completely sure of anything but the tasty flavor of properly prepared gooey ducks and garlic sauce . |
