That was CLEARLY attempted suicide by police . Did you see the way he was gripping the knife holding it to his throat. He knew he was gonna get tased. Shit is crazy .

The cop was way too fast on the trigger like most cops. There was no immediate threat to anyone.

You know nothing about knives and how dangerous they are at close range. The guy could lunge at the office and stab him in a literal second. Even civilians are taught the twenty foot rule in C P L classes.

This is a tough one to call, as former security and a personal protection pro, it's pretty obvious that he tases the perp at that moment the obvious would and did happen. He was holding the blade towards the underside of his chin with his arms in front of his body, physics says he'll fall forward most likely impaling himself.

You literally have milliseconds to analyze the situation and formulate your offensive/defensive plan of attack. If I could see what was coming, that cop certainly could as well. I tend to agree with you here, he had more time to act and should've seen that the perp was in more danger of seriously injuring himself via taser paralysis rather than being an immediate threat.

To me, it's the same as tazing someone threatening suicide by jumping, who then immediately falls to their death after being incapacitated by a cop.
