Now that we've had 2.5 years of mutations, I'd love to hear virologists explain why 50% of the SARS-CoV-2 spike mutations have occurred within the ~3% of the spike composed of the suspicious inserts ID'd by Nobel winner Montagnier & a certain pre-print?

It's slightly more than 3%, imo...but you get the point! These regions are new, mutable, very much 'not yet in their niche' as nature would have evolved them.

Grand total for these 'suspicious' regions: 59 nucleotides
Out of spike total length 1274 nucleotides.

59/1274 = 4.6%
--So ~half (18 of the 38) mutations in Omicron spike are in the suspicious 4.6% (marked by crosses 'X' in CharlesRixey's tweet)



NB: Researchgate deleted the Montagnier preprint again, but it has been re-uploaded. They trying to cover something up??
