TIME IS?

Time is the condition of mutability. Change is time. The difficulty we have in understanding God as immutable, i.e. eternal, arises from the fact that without changing, we would have no experience at all. We would be dead. Our experience of existence is the experience of becoming. It is experiencing time. Consequently, we have difficulty in comprehending how not becoming can be perfection.

I don't really understand that. Do you mean like the matrix or the hologram theory?

If you stop time, how would you measure how long time was stopped for?

How would you re-insert yourself into a time line from a point that has no referance of time.
That would take incredible timimg. (of something that doesn't exist.)

Experience of moments

Here is a concept ......

The clock speed of the computer , and the rendering of reality, by the software running our simulation , is what we perceive as the speed of light . Time is how the simulation is coded to work.
I'm not breaking new ground here, being it is a derivative of Bostroms work

As to your point about " the things that......"
As I understand it , this is actually fairly accurate synopsis of some of the current thinking in cosmology ,( leave it to a group of scientist to spend millions proving a common sense statement) : A larger nodelike parent universe , shot us out, with time moving in the general direction we moved , compared to other universes being born.
But in this Parent Universe , everything is happening at once, it infers one of its values of time , unto the child universe , as genes..We got a simple line ray....


It's an interesting place a debate between an atheist and a theist could end in some agreement , or begin from .......
