Time stands still.

Evening and the morning, do we look at light, and how count the minutes? Not really, we seem the light come and the light go, we work and play in the light of day, when it leaves we supposed to rest, then we sleep. There is Winter, spring, summer and fall, all this is not about time, it is about weather and it is different each year. Man counts of day, yet his counting is off and so, he has to make up for missing counting the days as if they are any difference ever. The sun come up, and the sun goes down, it continues for seasons to seasons. If you want to think about it, days drag on slowly and sometimes days runs fast to the evening comes before you know it.

Time is the most precious non-renewable resource.

The above has a different meaning of time as an indicator of caring.

Dying cells, there is no time.

And there is no time, is meant literally, there are only dying cells, nothing else, we are born and at some point cells stop being made up and they just slowly die.
Cells age mostly because they lose a bit of their DNA each time they divide, divided we fall, and that puts a "time limit" to human existence.
United we rise, divided we fall, for the first time in history we try as Humanity to rise, but why? Maybe because we figured out a "time limitation"? that there is no "time" if we are too many for the next to have also "time"? to exist?

It is very complicated, what is sure, is that there is no time, literally, only dying cells.

Yes it is.

Reality is definitely an illusion for each specie different.

And a very persistent for each specie.

And the question that arises, is, what is the actual reality for all, for us humans, for each animal, for those that we cannot see, the miniscule way of life, cause it is also some kind of life, not this fancy life that we have probably, but they also live, through us, what is the base, the start, the entry point? And then the question is, can we reach that entry point under the current conditions?, we cannot. And there is where the dying cells, each human that is, is participating in the most advanced experiment of all times, to reach that entry point quicker or at least find a way to get rid of the fault in our stars.

That, is not "time", that is engaging in the delusion of our species in a matter that favors the one that alleges that time is on his side. Cause there can be no proof whilst acting through the limitations, only an illusion of that can be.

Exactly that it is, all the songs about time, or almost all, are speaking as time is the key factor for the illusion that is lived in the way our specie understands, they are using time as a tool for reaching towards emotions for guiding the specie, human one, to the goal that they seek to meet, money, fame, or just feeling secure and comfort with their choices.

This is also inside the limitations that are created in the illusion of time as is defined in human terms, what we seek here, what the Original Poster probably seeks for, is to find the connection of time in a level that is united, and not divided, divided by the aging of cells, or divided by the illusion that each specie lives in.

In human terms, time could be what you said, because time is used mainly for having an order in the vast dying of cells as they move throughout Earth, in their daily activities so to construct a life inside their illusion and by that to have a smooth run in time of the structure created in time.

Time therefore in human terms that go beyond the normal life, is just a decoy.

Time is a concept of measuring distance with any two things.

If you mean to ask what causes time, other than Jesus, "how?", that's beyond me.

What lies beneath that decoy, are them that plan ahead in a time table of 100 years or 200 years from now, of how the structure that is created in this illusion to keep on functioning in a level of acceptance for the dying cells, whilst they seek immortality through the differences that they create or the inspirations, and by using those tools, the dying cells, so to reach that goal or unlock the doors to reach the base of all Creation.
However, in the now, it does not help this diversity and the amount of dying cells has reached a point that has to get suppressed. For various reasons. One of them is the AI, it became the source of their diversity that before, was found in humans, the dying cells, through their guidance of those few.

By that definition, time is only a tool.

Which is right, a tool it is.

Are we moving pictures? Quantum physicists theorize we are blinking in an out of existence very quickly, moving so fast it's as if it's not moving at all, giving to the perception of movement.

God knows how to do it, see, he did it!
