Personally I do NOT trust the NRC and their "Analysis" of risks for any aspect of the nuclear power industry, particularly after allowing the Fort Calhoun nuclear power plant (Nebraska) to be built in the Missouri River Flood Plain with a major Army Corp of Engineers Dam just upstream. To refresh everybody's memory the NRC allowed that plant to be built BELOW the level the river would be at if the Dam upstream went to full release, which it did during the Missouri River floods of about 10 years ago. VOILA they had to scramble to put up a temporary rubber water barrier around the plant to keep the Control Room, Pumps, and Reactor out of the river since they had NEVER built a dike around that plant even though the Army Corp of Engineers data said it WOULD BE UNDERWATER if the dam had to open it's gates!!
