The most salient part of the story from that link:

Pedro Hernández, a researcher at the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands, has given an interview to 'Cuatro al Día' in which he has shown the indications that would show that an eruptive process is taking place. These indicators include "visible anomalies in surface temperature and water vapor".

So that's 13 quakes in 45 min. All under 10 km. All in same area. And 8 of them are above 2.0! Every time I refresh there is a new quake.

If that's accurate it might signal a new uptick in activity.

Most Tsunami Warning Buoys OFFLINE or Malfunctioning in Atlantic Ocean

Three of the five Tsunami Warning Buoys protecting the US east coast are OFFLINE and a fourth is malfunctioning, leaving only ONE buoy in the Atlantic Ocean to warn Americans if a tsunami wave is coming at them from the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands.

It is that very island which is currently seeing swarms of earthquakes, leading scientists to believe the volcano there will erupt. If it erupts, and the southwestern flank falls into the ocean causing a tsunami as many expect it will, the US east coast will be BLIND-SIDED because 80% of our tsunami warning buoys are not working.

We begin with Warning Buoy 41421, which is Owned and maintained by the U.S. National Data Buoy Center. It is described as a 2.6-meter discus buoy carrying the "DART II payload" which is the set of scientific instruments the device uses to report water and weather conditions. It is located at:
23.373 N 63.902 W (23°22'23" N 63°54'7" W) known as "NORTH ST THOMAS" - 300 Nautical Miles North of St Thomas, Virgin Islands where the ocean water depth is 5844 meters.

This buoy has failed to report any data at all since September 13. Here's what you see when trying to read its data:

VQC,

You're doing an incredible good reporting!

Nice you're trying to interview the locals!

Did you ask your taxi driver what he's thinking about the risk?

It seems to be quite empty, very few other tourists?

Keep the good work up, but please get some sleep as well!

Nonsense!

The only thing that can stop this is if VQC is able to find a young virgin and throw her into the volcano. It’s our only hope at this point.

This would be a good time for VQC to have a Canary bird early warning system for toxic gas venting.

Unfortunately, and contrary the name, there are no canaries in all of the Canary Islands.
Same is true for the Virgin Islands ....no canaries.

BTW, I think our brave VQC is pretty safe on that island.
If the vulcano goes, it wouldn't smash the whole island to pieces, and tsunami only affects other islands/countries beaches.

Given there's no pyroclastic flow to where he is.

And to the one saying he should get a respirator - if he didn't bring one (which I would assume he did not), there would be none to get on these kind of islands.
