A lack of proper tools, low wages, better opportunities, and a lack of administrative help constitute the reasons officers are leaving. [link to www.breitbart.com (secure)] |

Say No To The Police State User ID: 80854953 United States 09/11/2021 03:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They were unneeded. Cops are a waste of skin outside major cities. We arent in danger from anyone but them. I see about 1 cop every 2 weeks where I live, and have seen a single crime commited in 10 years. Meanwhile they have harassed me 5 times on behalf of people out of state and Swatted me once with a full 30+ person siege based on the phone call of a violent armed road rager, the aforementioned crime. They are an evil gang of predatory thugs and 99% of the zip codes in America dont need them. "Boom" |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78266814 09/11/2021 03:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its 4 people total. The town is a peaceful dust speck. The only lesson to be learned is that they werent needed. The sheriffs office is made for places like this and are taking over the duties of the quitters. Some tourist overflow from Branson Missouri but generally a pretty quiet place. If I had a dollar for every time I got suspicious... I'd wonder who was paying me, and why? |

User ID: 79660464 United States 09/11/2021 03:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Kimberling City. Guess what? I didn't even notice they were gone. It is a peaceful retirement community and there is no crime. The only reason the cops are here is to increase the tax base due to speeding tickets being issued. The cops are great. The elected officials are the problem. They would rather build un-used playgrounds rather than compensate the police with a little bit of higher wages. Heck, the mayor and a councilman live right down the road from me. I'll have to ask them why they accepted the resignations rather than pony up some cash. But at lease we have the Stone County Sheriffs department to backfill, temporarily. The city utilities guys were at my place yesterday digging a new sewer line to my house and they mentioned all the resignations of the police department. They laughed and kept on digging. I guess they are happy with their pay. Maybe the cops need to address that situation. |
