Best Way to Get Rid of Skunks?

Loud music, bright lights.

I've got two tiki torches going.

Does the neighbor have a black cat?
If so, do you have a can of white paint?

I've seen this work on tv as a kid.

Borrow the cat and paint a white stripe down it's back.
Soon the neighbor's will have your old problem over there.

Capture in a live capture cage using a can of sardines as bait. Except I keep my distance and end it with a .22.

Remove the food source.

What about pissing around the area?

pepper spray, lights, dog or fox piss (human piss wont do it), ammonia can help -

trashcan trap it and move (dont try a live trap - youll just get sprayed

Better than a cage is a long PVC pipe. Close off one end and put the bait at that end. Then observe from a distance. Once the skunk goes in, then run and close off the other end. Once trapped, you can decide what to do with him.

I have a 22 caliber pellet pistol. Pump. It will spray when shot

I have live trapped about 6 of them. (I used peanut butter) Then I put then in the back of my pickup, drive 11 miles to a park down the road and let them go. I have never been sprayed.

I had a family of them move under my house. One time one sprayed under my house. Wow! the stink.

Drown the mother fucker

They eat mice so are good to have around if they stay out of sight.

Get a new live animal trap and do not take it out of the box.
Toss the can of tuna or cat food or whatever down to the far end and set it.
When the skunk is caught, it will spray but the box will absorb most of it, then set it free far from home.

They have very poor eyesight and feel you walking through vibrations on the ground so handle the box lightly and carefully.

Skunks really are nice animals, don't kill it

You can also put a tarp around the box to help stop the spray

Mothballs

live trap it, throw a towel over the cage and drop it in a 55 gallon drum of water. dirty deeds done dirt cheap.

real naptha mothballs. for outside away from the house.

they're toxic. to... everything. and smell bad.

moth balls
