Why can't enough people just believe in God without the proprietary, cultist requirements of their dumbass religions?

In a word, projection, the need to believe their imaginary Sky Daddy shares the same petty, cruel and ignorant desires and beliefs that they do.

Of course that's when any kind of absolute, outright belief in God applies, which I'll never consider a good idea. The agnostic path is the only honest one.

Because religion has never been about God. It's about control. Period. God is just a tool they use to achieve control. Doesn't even matter if there is a God or not.
I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again.

STOP SAYING "BELIEF" AND "BELIEVE".

I "KNOW" THAT "THIS A PIECE OF CONCRETE"

.

YOU DON'T JUST "BELIEVE" THAT "THIS IS A PIECE OF CONCRETE".

YOU KNOW THAT GOD EXISTS!

YOU DON'T JUST HAVE A WISHY WASHY BELIEF THAT HE DOES!

I'm not tied to any specific group, but I believe in God and his word. Including Jesus Christ.

Belief IS just that, belief, no matter how strongly heartfelt and mistaken for truth, unless or until it becomes most solid proof, such as plant growth occurring by photosynthesis (water and sunlight), or that cells comprise tissues, which comprise organs, which comprise organ systems, which comprise organisms. Those facts are TRULY indisputable.
