I posted a thread last year asking about the creepiest places you have ever visited and it was a great thread. Thought I'd do a sequel and see what crazy, creepy, fucked up shit you've seen over the years were.

DRIVING THROUGH THE NJ PINE BARRENS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, LATE SUMMER. HAD TO STOP TO TAKE A LEAK. AS I'M STANDING THERE TAKING A PISS MY EYES SLOWLY STARTED TO ADJUST TO THE DARK AND ABOUT THIRY FEET IN THE WOODS OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THERE WAS A NAKED DUDE JUST STANDING THERE WATCHING ME.

IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN THROUGH THE PINE BARRENS, THERE'S NOTHING THERE, NO TOWNS, NO NOTHING, JUST TREES AND SAND.

PISSED ALL OVER MYSELF GETTING BACK TO THE CAR.

SCARIEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE AND I'VE BEEN IN COMBAT/AUTO ACCIDENT/FIRES.

WTF WAS HE DOING OUT THERE?

Dachau.

By the way, the town of Dachau, just up the hill from the camp, is the most quaint medieval German village you will ever see. Creepy.

Had a lot of experience with the Pine Barrens, they were quite a bit more "barren" when I was a kid. Progress has shrunk them. But among legends like witches and the Jersey devil, the bodies dumped by the mob are all over those woods. My mother told me a story of a night that we were all driving thru the barrens on our way out to LBI. And the sky got suddenly darker, all the stars disappeared for a couple of miles, almost like a giant ship was quietly hovering.. She didn't say anything to us for fear of freakin us kids out.

It was a bed and breakfast in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I got really freaked out, couldn't sleep. Got weird pictures. It was a Civil War hospital.
