Others I can only have it on low or it will just blow hot air. Quoting: Mysteriosoul71 Your blower motor is separate from your air conditioner. if your evaporator can't maintain it's temperature the system charge might be low. You also could have a mode door problem where the temp blend door is getting moved at higher fan speeds. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79904603 Netherlands 07/02/2021 07:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have replaced the steering rack four times with "remanufactured" racks. The first rack had a a limit of about 80 miles until the steering bacme stiff, did not return to center, and it was making my brand new ball joints creak and moan like they were old...Actually just the upper right ball joint in the end of the cycle of stressed evident withing the 80 miles. If the car is parked for a minimum of a week without being started or driven , when the car is started and driven, the steering is perfect and no stress is evident until it is driven back up to the 80 miles. Each rack has had it's own unique limits with the same process of the same symptoms developing and all ending with stiff steering and the upper right ball joint creaking and moaning. Rack #1 was 80-100 mile limit. Rack #2 was about 40 miles. Rack #3was immediately unusable Rack #4, the current rack, has a limit of about 30 miles before I have to park the car and let the thing rest. Something in this system is causing pressure to build up on one side, I assume, in the valve body? WHAT GIVES!? I am committed to finishing this project. It is a car I have had for 25 years. |

A different contractor to make the containers. Those containers are sent to the fluid contract winner for filling. Last Edited by tkwasny on 07/02/2021 07:31 PM |

Your power steering pump is likely coming apart and contaminating the spool valve in the rack, or it's over pressurizing the rack. Replace the pump with the rack and flush the lines. If there's a remote reservoir replace it too, along with the cooler, if it has one. |

For your ball joints, check your end links. Have you looked into the power steering cooler or hard line and the fluid? If you dinged/bent the hard line, just get a rated hose and clamp it down. |
