Gas is a cleaner and has a number of detergents already in it. An aside to the whole E10, E15 fuels, ethanol also works to absorb moisture from the bottom of the tank. We hardly ever see fuel system contamination like we used to, unless an unlucky gas station has a storage tank flood from rain. |

Could be a (tiny) exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold gasket: Or a "lifter"If you can get to the valve cover you can put a long screwdriver to the cover and put the bone behind your ear on it and listen: or go buy a "mechanics stethoscope" It helps you narrows down where the noise is coming from. |

Still have one in my shed along with my tire spoons for SHTF tire changes. |

Instead of using a rocker with a threaded adjuster that engine uses cam follower buckets that use shims to get the clearance. |

Quoting: CosmicFire :monkeying: I have a 2008 dodge charger, ran hot on me about a week ago guy at the shop told me I needed a new radiator so I got that installed but its getting hot and blowing out steam out of the reservoir tank every etime I drive it for mlm ore than 10 minutes, but the engine isn't over heating. I thought it might have been the head gaskets so I put in some bar gasket sealer but I'm still having the same problem. The car has 202,000 miles on it. Could give me some pointers on what might be causing the reservoir to overheat and blow coolant out? Thanks in advance. Everything went great... Except my gas guage stopped working. I feel like, on the rear passenger fuel pump, I may have not clipped a little wire and lead correctly. Wasn't part of new assembly, was already in tank, just needed room to fit my hand in tank. However, i can't find shit on that little lead on any diagram, video, etc. What it is, where it's supposed to go. Everyone with gas guage issues online seem to be replacing entire control module....almost certain mine has to do with little wire. Do you have a way to find info? Driving me nuts. Pain in the ass to remove seats, don't want to go back in until informed, lol (been calculating gas for months) "The cowards never start and the weak die along the way" |
