Odds are it won't happen to you in the few hours it takes to conduct the space walk, but it's always a risk. |

It wasn't tracked beforehand so it's impossible to say, but the relative velocity to ISS could have been thousands of miles per hour depending on the inclination of its orbit prior to impact relative to ISS. There's no exit wound on the arm apparently so it might not have even been all that large which would also explain why it wasn't tracked beforehand. |
