Nrealy 1/3 of People Wash Their Sheets Just Once Per Year! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79543875 United States 05/16/2021 09:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, in all honesty, I allow my little Jack Russell to sleep on the bed with me, and she can be nasty after running outside on that red clay, so I have to wash all the bedding regularly. The sheets, normally weekly, and the blanket and quilt topper every couple of weeks. I never buy a comforter because they are just too difficult to wash and some of them say "dry clean only." That's not practical when you have pets sleeping on the bed. Quilts are so much easier to wash. Yep or duvet covers. We sleep with down pretty much year round in our house. And even the down goes in the dryer several times a year along with the pillows. And vacuum the mattress twice a year. Is it any wonder there is a bedbug problem here in the states. Ewwww! Bed is will hides in the baseboards also. Use diatomaceous earth to kill them. Sprinkle it on the box springs also. |

Bleach will slowly destroy your sheets. |

Good point for those who have colored sheets and can't use bleach. I'm a white sheet and white towel person myself - easier to wash in hot water and with bleach. I'll have to keep that vinegar tip in mind, though. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78148676 United States 05/16/2021 09:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That is fucking gross. I do mine every six months. I do not have sexfun on on the bed these days so not a big deal. When I was having the crazy sex with the squirters and what not, those sheets were usually in the dryer 5 times a week until I went to bed and then had to make the bed at midnight. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78148676 So you didn’t wash those either? You just used the drier to dry out the fermenting pussy juice? He puts the sheets in those special dryer bags that claim to turn your drier into a dry cleaning machine? The pussy juice stains never come out. No on both. I thought the dryer implied the washer before. Most places today have the complete set of washer and dryer. The only time I used the dryer by itself is to unwrinkle a shirt with a wet towel. |

Or just as bad, letting an animal into your bed that never wipes or washes it's anus. Nasty! You’re obviously not a true dog lover. A person can be a dog lover and not let their dog in their bed. Dogs do not belong in a human's bed. They should have their own dog bed to sleep in. |

In lieu of that, use either 1. Baking soda in the wash (it's fungistatic - stops fungi from reproducing AND 1.5 cups of white distilled vinegar in your rinse cycle [link to s3.wp.wsu.edu (secure)] or 2. Use Lysol Laundry Sanitizer during your wash (if you don't mind the chemicals) [link to askinglot.com (secure)] In both cases you should use the hot water setting and use the hottest setting your dryer has. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72756950 and if you only wash the pillow cases whatever is in the pillow will seep through in a few days. If i'm too lazy to wash the pillow or cases i spray the pillow case, inside and out with bleach solution , it works. you will never get sick if you do that I lay a nice fluffy towel on top of my pillow and change it about every 5 days. Super fast to snatch the old towel off and replace. That way, facial oils, drool, whatever are not constantly oozing into the pillow contents. I'm thinking I should get a Nobel prize or something for that little invention. Justme |

I'm not sleeping in their bed ... but just some friendly advice, if you have oily skin, it will shred your cotton sheets if you don't wash them at least once a week ... or if you have dry cracked heels, they will tear your sheets to shreds or you can adopt the millineal mentality, and just not use sheets ... sleep in your clothes until they stink, shop at the goodwill and toss the old clothes - use paper plates, don't waste your precious water or time, washing |
