Biden's very good friend Senator Ted Kennedy fought this to his dying day - yeah he wanted wind, just not where he could see it. I'm pretty sure that John Forbes Kerry also fought against this when he was in the senate. Guess he's not a big shot anymore! Sure, from a long way away, they look to be casually rotating.

But the blades can be over 100 feet long. On a windy day it might make 1 full rev every 4 seconds or so.

Applying some simple math you will find that the end of the blades are then rotating at over 100 mph.

Even if it makes only 1 rev every 10 seconds, that's over 40 mph. Plenty fast for a bird to not be able to anticipate.

I had a beagle that did that. As fast as one dog would squat, she'd get right under the spigot, lol.

There are already some here on the Cape Cod mainland. They look horrible. The Cape is supposed to be cute New England. The Vineyard probably won’t let it happen. Thank God it’s not Nantucket. The Vineyard is a little wild and easy to get to compared to Nantucket.

I wouldn't be surprised if he rented out his property for the windmills. Rent would be a fixed monthly rate plus a percentage of the income of electricity sold.

What if we could use the readily available geothermal energy in Iceland and Yellowstone etc. As well as using PV technology To make hydrogen fuel using existing electrolysis technologies. With a few improvements in transport and storage infrastructure, we could have a nearly limitless supply of fuel that burns carbon neutral. The only emissions are water vapor and heat in fuel cell technology. This would solve so many problems at once that it boggles the mind.

I'd advice the Martha Vineyard people to retain all their rights and NOT sign any contracts mailed to them with yellow stickers pointing to "sign here" and we'll send you $1000 a year, some trees and new blinds..whoopty doo...then it messes up your contract w/your home insurance as well; bad news all the way around, then yeah, go to sell your home...that's what we are waiting for.


Anyway, I feel for the Martha Vineyard residents, they are going to be so *issed when this happens. Bye bye birdies, home values, etc.

Enough windmills on the surface of the earth WILL slow its rotation. It will produce unprecedented earthquakes, weather changes, and ultimately will plunge us into a disastrous and unbelievably rapid ice age and 5th destruction, just after the fires of course. Massive biome cleansing fires.

So seemingly innocent, yet large enough in scale, it can destroy our Earth.

The extraterrestrials will further frown at these technologies than they will combustion.
