Quoting: Only Me These wind farms are an atrocity to my birdies and I'm furious about it :( We can do nothing but sit back and watch as these fuckers kill nature in the name of saving it. I’m against the wind farms myself, but, how do birds get killed by these huge blades? Do they just run into them or something, because these things move relatively slow. They aren’t spinning like a ceiling fan... If there is another reason please enlighten me. Wind turbines take a terrible toll on birds As a young field ecologist, I’ve witnessed and studied about bird collision mortalities in the most serene Special Protected Area for bird conservation at Alentejo, Portugal. My Master’s thesis involved assessing the collision mortality of birds with artificial structures (especially electric lines and fences), thus requiring me to do detailed studies on the susceptibility of birds to artificial structures and the subsequent impact on breeding, migration, and overall survival. 50%< [link to www.cfact.org (secure)] . Americans will be employed in restaurants, grocery stores and auto shops. Democrat V.I.P.'s will serve as consultants on the board of directors at multi-million dollar salaries. Democrats will be the highest paid executives on the project. They'll rubber stamp decisions made in China. Most of the two billion dollars will vanish to pay graft. In ten years the windmills will be falling apart because of the ocean waves, and abandoned. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77067883 United States 05/11/2021 11:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I believe he's the first US president in quite awhile who has been specific about the ideological nature of people, in this case, liberals. Nixon would cites "liberals" (but mainly in the years before his presidency) and Truman would rail against "conservatives." But I don't believe those labels were ever used - or rarely used - by Johnson, Kennedy, Reagan, Ford, Bush I or Bush II. Bush Sr even used the phrase "the L word," as though saying "liberal" was a cuss or dirty word. In a way, it is. A lot of this, however, has been forced on Donald Trump since the degree of liberalism/leftism in today's America is off the chain. It's now full-blown US-hating, race-baiting, sexuality-baiting libtardism. |

How many watts are in $2B of coal? What is the maintenance cost required to keep windmills at sea operating? How many will operate in a nor’easter? Yeah, we are pissing money away. I hate those windmills, they are everywhere fucking up the view, killing millions of birds... Sigh. Smoke me a kipper, I’ll be back for breakfast. The Vineyard Wind project, south of Martha’s Vineyard near Cape Cod, would be the first utility-scale wind power development in federal waters. Quoting: Swingline The $2 billion project was approved Tuesday. The project could be completed in about two years, comes after decades of debate about the sustainability of U.S. offshore wind. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland said the approval will create thousands of jobs and is a step toward Joe Biden’s plan for 30 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030. “It will create jobs that will support families, boost local economies and address climate injustice. More importantly, it will create a new generation of clean energy jobs and leave a livable planet for future generations.” President trump commented: Congratulations to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts for the privilege they will have in looking at massive windmills that have been approved by the Biden Administration and are being built, in China of course, as part of an extraordinarily large wind farm.
